South Holt will host a Financial Aid Night for senior students and their families beginning at 6:00pm on Wednesday, January 31st in the computer lab. A representative will share general financial aid information and be available to assist with FAFSA completion. Parents/Guardians will need 2022 income tax returns, W2’s, and other records of money earned. Please contact Mrs. Martin for additional information.

Good luck to the high school basketball teams as they begin the King City Tournament tonight. The girls play at 4:30 and the boys play at 6:00. The bus leaves at 3:00pm today. Go Knights!
Friday South Holt basketball….We are playing tonight at Union Star with everything moved up 1 hour. Girls game starts at 5:00pm now. Boys after. Bus departs at 3:30pm. No JV.

South Holt will have no school tomorrow, Friday, January 19th, but it will be an AMI day for students and teachers. Mr. Quinlin will have basketball game information tomorrow.
With the past week's inclement weather, South Holt R-I is preparing to utilize AMI Days in the event of future school closures. Students in 7th-12th Grades were informed of expectations for AMI Days today during the school day. Elementary students were all given a packet with 3 days worth of assignments, should school be cancelled and labeled an AMI Day in the days and weeks to come. Please keep these packets in a safe place so that you can find them should the South Holt R-I School District cancel in person classes and hold an AMI Day. Reach out to your child's teacher, or your building principal with questions regarding the packets sent home with elementary students, or AMI Days.
Grade cards for JH and HS for the 2nd Quarter and 1st Semester were mailed home last week. Please be looking for those in then next 1-2 days.

Just finalized…..South Holt will have a Wednesday make-up HS Basketball at home against East Atchison.
Same time frame for Wednesday as it would have been on Tuesday. 5:55pm Senior Night. 6:10 national anthem followed by girls varsity game. No JV.
South Holt varsity baketball games for tonight (Tues, Jan 16th) have been postponed due to extremely cold tempatures. No games tonight. A reschedule date will be announced later in the day.

Fairfax has cancelled the remainder of the basketball tournament for questionable road conditions and extremely cold temps. No Saturday games. No Monday games. South Holt plays next on Tuesday at home against East Atchison. Senior Night event at 6:00 on Tuesday.
No Fairfax Tournament basketball games today due to poor road conditions. Postponed and probably playing something tomorrow. No times set yet. Fairfax will send out more info later today.

Elementary Dismissal/Pick Up Reminder: For the safety of all of our students and staff, all adults picking up elementary students should remain in their vehicles and utilize the circle drive during pick up. Adults should not leave their vehicles while in the circle drive. Students will remain at the pick up locations until their vehicle pulls around.
Foot traffic, along with vehicles cutting through the middle of the circle drive, creates an unsafe environment for our elementary students and staff. If you need to exit your vehicle, please park in front of the building, or pull up into one of the designated parking spaces. Thank you for working with us to keep our students and staff safe.
Today South Holt will follow the normal lunch menu. Today's lunch is chicken fried steak.
Fairfax Basketball tournament for today is happening. South Holt games are today at 7pm (girls) and Wednesday at 8:15pm (boys). Bus departure of 5pm. Let's go Knights!
