Congratulations to the South Holt varsity baseball team as they won 16-1 over North Andrew on Friday night in the first round of district play. The Knights play again on Monday against Rock Port at 6:00pm at Guildford (South Nodaway).
Good luck to South Holt's Zoey Prussman and Brianna Biondo as they compete in Sectional Track at Plattsburg. Results will be share later as these two try to earn a spot in the State Track Meet next weekend.

MSHSAA Sports Physicals....South Holt will be hosting South Holt Family Medicine for providing sports physicals on Friday, May 12th from 1:00pm-2:30pm. The fee is just $25. A student can sign up in the Information Center across from the HS office. Remember that sports physicals are now approved for 2-years cycles. If you are not certain if you need a physical, contact Mr. Ted Quinlin in the HS office.
The 4th grade class got to learn coding and robotics on Friday. They had a blast using the Ozobots!
South Holt 6th Graders were detectives on Friday, solving the Case of the Missing Principal! Using reading skills and inferences based off the crime scene evidence and suspect statements, the 6th Graders discovered Mrs. Nester was to blame for the missing principal.
South Holt baseball received the #3 Seed in the district tournament. The team will play Friday, May 12th at 6:00pm vs North Andrew. The winner will play Monday, May 15th vs Rock Port at 6:00pm. District championship on Wednesday, May 17th at 5:00pm. All games in Guilford (South Nodaway). All games weather pending.
Attention South Holt Juniors and Seniors. The Forest City Drugstore is asking for your help tomorrow morning around 10:00 am. They need students to help dust, sweep, wash windows and dishes and move tubs of stuff around. NHS members can get service points for helping. Please see Mr. Ottman first thing Monday morning if you can help.

The South Holt track teams competed at the District Track Meet on Saturday at West Platte. Of the 9 athletes, 7 set new PR’s (personal records). Two of our athletes are moving on to the Sectional Meet. Zoey Prussman is moving on in the shot put and the discus. Brianna Biondo is moving on in the triple jump and the 300 hurdles. Both girls set PR’s today - Zoey in the disc and the shot put and Brianna in the 300 hurdles and the 100. Tait Morris set new PR’s in the triple jump and the half mile while Griffin Kemerling set a PR in the 400. These athletes battled the heat, their opponents, and themselves in order to be their best today. Nice work!
We are beyond proud of these teachers for completing their Masters Degrees in Reading. Our students are fortunate to have these highly qualified teachers helping them grow. Congratulations to Miss Russell, Miss Moore, and Mrs. Kunkel. Happy Graduation Day!

South Holt First Graders visited Community Hospital-Fairfax yesterday. They learned about things that happen in the hospital. Thank you to CHF for hosting our students and providing them with a fun, authentic learning experience.
