South Holt begins the 2nd Semester on Wednesday, January 3rd. Teachers, administrators, and staff are looking forward to a great second half of the year!
South Holt traveled to Mound City for an evening of high school basketball. JV boys won. Varsity girls lost. Varsity boys won. Go Knights! Teams all play again on Friday at home against Platte Valley.
The South Holt Basketball Teams took on DeKalb tonight. The JV and Varsity Boys defeated DeKalb. The Varsity Girls fell to DeKalb. The Knights are back in action on January 2.
The FFA Blood Drive today will be in the library, not the new gym, from 2:00-6:00 today. Blood donors, please enter the school through the high school doors and continue to the Library. This is a change from what was previously shared.

South Holt's 7th-12th Grade Band and Music Program is tonight at 7:00pm in the main gym. Students participating should report to the band room at 6:45pm. All parents and community members are welcome! We will see everyone tonight for a great concert.
High School Basketball....The South Holt varsity boys lose a tough double overtime game to Rock Port on Tuesday night. The varsity girls also lost to Rock Port. The JV boys won by 15. The teams play again on Friday at West Nodaway.

In non-conference action at Stewartsville the South Holt varsity girls lose and the varsity boys win. Also the JV boys won. Overall a good night of basketball for South Holt.

The South Holt JH boys win a thrilling game over Platte Valley by the score of 49-47. The win earns the boys a 3rd place finish in the 275 Conference Tournament. Go Knights!

The 3rd graders spent some time on Wednesday morning visiting the OCC. They played Christmas Bingo with the residents and made some tin soldiers to leave with them. A good time was enjoyed by people of all ages as the kids helped spread some Christmas cheer.
All Sophomore students will be attending a field trip on Friday, December 8th to tour Hillyard Technical Center in St. Joseph. Students need to arrive at South Holt to board the bus departing at 6:45AM. Sophomores will return with HTC students at the beginning of 4th hour on Friday.
After School Bible Club will be caroling tomorrow. This event will end with a birthday party at the Christian Church. All students who participate in ASBC should be picked up around 4:30 at the Christian Church in Oregon.
There will be an After Prom Meeting on Wednesday, December 6th at 7:00pm in the school lunchroom. All parents of high school kids are invited to attend and help out.
