Today is the day that parents for Preschool, Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade are being provided enrichment school work in packets and papers. Parents can pick up packets at the elementary office today (April 23rd) from 4pm-6pm. Also tomorrow (April 24th) from 9:30am-12:00pm. Packets will be delivered for all families that don’t get a packet picked up. Also, please bring in any completed work to this event.

The South Holt senior class has postponed their Baccalaureate Service and Graduation. The class voted to reschedule the Baccalaureate Service for Wednesday, June 10th at 7:00PM at the Oregon Christian Church. Their graduation will take place Sunday, June 14th at 2:00.
The 2020 South Holt Alumni Banquet, scheduled for May 24th, has been cancelled.
Attention juniors and seniors, check your emails about the opportunity to participate in a virtual prom tonight! It will be hosted by John Krasinski (Jim from “The Office”)!! Be sure to check it out!
The South Holt Board meeting Wednesday, April 15, 2020 will be held virtually from the school Library. Anyone wanting to attend virtually should contact Mr. Ottman by 4:00 tomorrow to be sent the invite and attendance information.
Beginning Friday night on April 10th, South Holt will join in with many others schools around the country and turn on our stadium lights on Friday nights at 8:20 PM, which is 20:20 military time. The lights will remain on for 20 minutes and 20 seconds to honor the class of 2020.

This week South Holt Elementary students in 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade have been provided enrichment school work through electronic means. This has been Google Classroom, Google Meet, and social media. Please continue to work on these assignments to continue to advance academically. Please communicate with the classroom teachers if you have any specific needs or questions.
South Holt Students, As we prepare for our distance learning, please take time to check your school email accounts. Several students have yet to respond to messages from their class sponsors. Seniors and Hillyard students, please respond to any message you have received.

There was a fraudulent email sent out at 9:35 that said update email schedule maintenance suposedly from OFM. OFM did not send this notice out. It is wanting you to change your password. If you did, call 446-3391 Theresa Mackey immediately. Do not click on this email.

We have extended the school closure until April 20th. We will need volunteers to help prepare and deliver meals during this extended two weeks. If you can help out please let Mr. Ottman know what days and what job and we will do the best to accomodate everyone.
Wednesday should be a special day! Your SH Staff is going on a parade! Below is the route we will be taking through Oregon and Forest City at 1pm. If your house isn’t on the route, just hop in the car and park somewhere along the way. Please remain in your car and follow all new “normal” regulations. (No socializing outside your family, remain 6 feet)! We are sooo excited to see some faces! We hope you and your family can make it!
