South Holt Elementary PK-2nd Grade student information. Today is the day! Opportunity to turn in any completed work and school items. And also collect personal items from school. Preschool-2nd Grade will be on Thursday and Friday (May 7th & 8th). Times for both days from 9am-12pm and 1pm-3pm. Thursday only from 6pm-7pm. All who come will enter by elementary office and be asked to respect social distancing of at least 6 feet. Any lunch balances or fees would need to be paid at this time as well.
Sports physicals will be offered today at the Oregon Clinic for $20.00. All incoming 7th grade students who wish to participate in sports would need to have a physical on file with the high school office. Any student who did not receive a last year at South Holt would need to also arrange a scheduled physical with the clinic or their family doctor.
South Holt Seniors must report to school at 10:00 am on Friday 5/8/20. Please bring all school property for check-ins. At approximately 10:55 our Seniors will take part in their final locker slams and pull out of the parking lot. The Senior class will take part in a car parade beginning at 11:00 am utilizing the same route as our staff parade earlier this spring. Please share this information and come out to celebrate our Senior class.

South Holt Seniors, please send a copy of your Senior Bio's to the Mound City News and to Mr. Anderson. You can find the bio prompts along with email addresses in your Painting Google Classroom. The due date was last Friday, 5/1/20. Please have these turned in no later than Tuesday 5/5/20.

The South Holt weightroom and multipurpose gym will be reopened Wednesday, May 6th. This is for patrons with keys and others who are supervised with permission to do work outs. There will be a thermometer station right inside the north door. Everyone entering should take their temp and record it by their name on the notebook. If you have a temp, you cannot enter. Enjoy your workout! When you are finished with your workout, there are Clorox wipes and a spray bottle with disinfectant and cloths on a table that you will need to use to wipe down the equipment you used. South Holt seniors, or senior parent are invited to stop in to Mr. Ottman's office today from 10:00 - 3:00 for a special surprise. It should be worth the trip!

Class check-ins will begin on Monday, May 4th starting with the current Junior Class.Sophomores will check in Tuesday, Freshmen will check in Wednesday, 8th graders on Thursday, and Seniors on Friday. Current 7th Graders will conclude the process on Monday, May 11th. Check-ins will run from 9:00 am - 12:00 and from 1:00 - 3:00 pm. This is a mandatory event for all South Holt students. All participants will be asked to sign in at the front hall, take their temperatures, and respect social distancing of at least 6 feet. We will be collecting all school related items and property including Chromebooks, chargers, school books, and sport uniforms. Any lunch balances or fees would need to be paid at this time as well. Please plan for approximately 1 hour of time to complete the checkout.
Elementary Group Classroom Pictures are in!!! Mrs. Killin will be distributing the group pictures to elementary kids who ordered them tomorrow during the book distribution. Please stop by and get your pictures. Mrs. Killiin will be stationed by the library doors on the west side of the school.Times for book distribution were on previous post.
Reminder that tomorrow Mrs. Buntz will be distributing books to all students in grades preschool thru 6th grade. The trailer is parked right outside the library doors on the west side of the school. 6th graders are invited to start at 9:00 tomorrow morning, 5th grade at 9:45, 4th grade at 10:30 and 3rd grade at 11:15. 2nd grade at 1:00, 1st grade at 1:45 and preschool/kindergarten at 2:30. Families with multiple children in elementary can get all books with the oldest child's time. If you cannot make these times, we can work out a way for your child to get their books..

Things will certainly look a bit different this year, but we can't wait for these beauties to make their way to their new home!
🌷 All plants will be put outside. Due to the size of our greenhouse, it would be very hard to maintain social distancing guidelines- so to the sidewalk we go!
🌻No more than 5 individuals outside of their vehicles shopping at a time. You can also choose to shop from your vehicle and I will pull your plants for you.
🌹We will only be accepting payment for the exact amount via check or cash. We will not have change. All payments will be dropped in a money box to limit contact. Price list will be posted on the South Holt FFA Facebook page later this week.
🥗 We will NOT be selling vegetables this year, we lost so many when we temporarily lost heat and everything that has been resown will be planted in the Community Garden.

Sports physical will be available at the Oregon Clinic on May 5th and May 7th. Office hours are 8 - 4, please call ahead at 446-2090. Physical forms are available at MSHSAA.com and are good for two years. Any student who received a physical last spring (2019) are still covered.
Mrs. Buntz has ordered and received a shipment of books. She intends to give out to books to every elementary student, preschool thru sixth grade. She will have a trailer on the playground on Thursday for kids to stop by and pick out books. Every student will receive 2-3 books. Sixth grade should come between 9 &10:00, fifth from 10-11:00, fourth from 11-noon. 3rd grade from 1-:002, 2nd grade 2-3:00, 1st grade 3-4:00 and Preschool and Kindergarten 4-5:00. If a family has kids in multiple grades we will accomodate them when they show up. South Holt thanks Mrs. Buntz for ordering the books and being available to hand them out to the kids to promote reading all summer long.
