We will be having basketball camp for High School players June 22-25. We will go on the mornings of June 22 and 24 at 8AM. We will go on the evenings of June 23 and 25 at 6 PM. All boys who anticipate playing basketball this year are encouraged to attend. We will have practices through July on Monday and Wednesday mornings at 8 AM. We will open the gym up for shooting on Tuesday/Thursdays at 8 AM.
There will be a Food Drop today, June 17th at 10:00am on the parking lot for the football field. Patrons need to remain in their vehicles and Kiwanis will distribute. Thank you.
The parents planning a Prom this summer need all prom shirt orders given to Mrs. Sarah Kurtz or Mrs. Lonna McCourt by Wednesday morning at 10:00.

There have been questions about South Holt gym usage, athletic practices, and summertime activities. Currently South Holt is providing morning weights and conditioning to all 7 - 12 grade students from 6:00 - 8:00 am Monday - Thursday. Organized practices are scheduled through our coaching staff and will increase in the month of July. Practices may now occur under the guidelines of our health department and the supervision of a coach. Individualized work, scrimmages, and non-supervised practice sessions are not allowed under any circumstance.
South Holt 2020 Graduation will occur on Sunday, June 14th at 2:00 pm. Due to the Covid-19 social distancing guidelines, Senior students will be allowed 10 guests each to attend the ceremony. Plans are being made to broadcast the graduation on Facebook Live for all other individuals.
Miss Schulte would like to begin incoming 7th and 8th girls grade summer basketball workouts. Sessions will occur each Tuesday and Thursday morning from 9:00 am - 10:00 am. All current social distancing guidelines will continue to occur and please bring your own water bottle.

*South Holt Summer Weights and Conditioning will begin on Monday, June 1st at South Holt High School.
*Weight lifting will begin at 6:00 am M - TH under the supervision of Mr. Petersen.
*All athletes 7th - 12th must sign in each day before using our facilities and go through temperature checks.
*The weight room and lower court area will be wiped down at the conclusion of the weightlifting session daily under the supervision of Mr. Petersen.
*Conditioning practice will follow weights at 7:00 am M - TH under the supervision of Mr. Morris.
*Conditioning will be outdoor or indoor depending on weather conditions.
*Conditioning will conclude at 8:00 am and any needed wipe downs will be supervised by Mr. Morris.
*At all times, all coaches and athletes will continue to practice the 6 foot distancing that is recommended by the CDC.
*All student athlete are asked to bring their own water bottles and abstain from using the schools water fountains and facilities.
*If groups sizes are larger than expected, coaches will make changes to the time guidelines.
*Team specific contact can occur, but all coaches and athletes must abide by the stated distancing guidelines.
*If at any time the CDC determines that a "return to normal" make take place the previous guidelines will become null and void. The same holds true for if they restrict he current guidelines.
South Holt Board of Education approved the Summer Activity Plan for South Holt athletes. Please see the stipulations below. Coaches will be contacting the athletes next week with more details and information.

Due to the recent social distancing laws and school closure the South Holt yearbook staff wanted to let you know we are still working diligently on completing the yearbook. Yearbooks are still available for purchase on the Jostens website. The website can be found by searching Jostens yearbooks and following the prompts to find South Holt. There will only be a limited number of extra yearbooks so please order online now to ensure you have a copy. Online orders will end June 27, 2020. After this date you will have to wait until the fall distribution for one of the limited extra copies. Fall distribution will happen after the start of the school year and not occur on back to school night since we have pushed back graduation. Please understand we are working very hard to cover things that we cancelled or postponed. This is uncharted territory and we are doing the best we can to provide a quality yearbook to our students and their families. South Holt Elementary 3rd-6th Grade student information. Opportunity to turn in Chromebooks, chargers, completed work, and school items. And also collect personal items from school. 3rd-6th Grade will be on Monday and Tuesday (May 11th & 12th). Times for both days from 9am-12pm and 1pm-3pm. Monday, May 11th only from 6pm-7pm. All who come will enter by elementary office and be asked to respect social distancing of at least 6 feet. Any lunch balances or fees would need to be paid at this time as well.
South Holt Seniors will take part in check outs at 10:00 am today. Please bring all school supplies back to the building and be prepared to settle any fees. At 10:55 Seniors will take part in their last locker slams and then leave the building to the parking lot. At 11:00 The Seniors will begin a car parade. Please see the attached image for details. All parents and spectators are welcome to station themselves along the route.
