South Holt will be holding school registration for 7th-12th students and parents. This drop-in event will allow students to verify their pre-registration schedule, sign forms, and be assigned a locker. Registration will happen in the counselor’s room in the main hallway of South Holt conducted by Mrs. Martin and Mr. Quinlin.

South Holt High School sports practices begin on Monday, August 8th. Practice times are as follows: Cross Country 7:30am (meet at greenhouse), Volleyball 8:00am-11:00am in main gym, and Football 4:00pm-7:00pm on practice field. The South Holt R-I School District is accepting applications for an Elementary/Special Education Paraprofessional for the 2022-2023 school year. Candidates must have a high school diploma. Sixty college credit hours are preferred, but not required. Paraprofessionals may be asked to take the Paraprofessional or ParaPro Assessment (MEGA). Interested candidates should submit a cover letter, resume, and completed support staff application electronically to Kristen Mendenhall at mendenhallk@southholtr1.com. Hard copy applications may be mailed to South Holt R-I Elementary, Kristen Mendenhall, 201 S. Barbour Street, Oregon, MO 64473. The Celebration of Life Service for Alex Harris will be today at 2:00 in the South Holt Gym. If you are unable to be here or want to watch the live streaming of the service, it will be live streamed on South Holt's Facebook page.
South Holt FFA students are helping with a Blood Drive today at the TJ Hall Building from 2:00-6:00. Please consider donating.
The South Holt community and other friends and family of Alex Harris are invited to a candlelight memorial at the South Holt Football Field tonight (Sunday, July 24th) at 9:00 PM. Reverend Jim Kelly will be officiating the service.
South Holt will have counselors and clergy available to the South Holt community (students, parents, staff, etc) tomorrow, Monday, July 25th from 10:00 am til 4:00 pm at the school. These services are free and confidential to anyone wanting to use them. Further dates and times will be established as needed. The South Holt football field and track will be closed starting today and will remained closed until Tuesday, July 26th for construction purposes. No one should use or be on the football field or track during these dates, July 20-26th. Thank you for you assistance.
South Holt students are hosting a blood drive Wednesday the 27th from 2-6pm at TJ Hall. The blood donated stays in our community and the more donors we have, the more scholarships we can offer to our students in the coming year through the Community Blood Center. Sign up for an appointment here!
