South Holt boys win 59-41 over Winston in District semifinals. The Knights will play Friday at 6pm for the District championship at North Andrew. Go Knights!

The South Holt varsity basketball teams play in District 15 games this week. All games at North Andrew HS. Boys play Monday at 8pm vs Pattonsburg. Girls play Tuesday at 6:30pm vs Dekalb. Good luck Knights!
South Holt will he honoring 3 recent alumni tonight at around 7:40pm for their FFA American Degree and induction into the Wall of Fame. Lily Noel, Zoey Prussman, and Brianna McCarty will be inducted right after the girls game is over. Go Knights!
South Holt will he honoring 8 senior tonight at 6:00pm for Winter Senior Night. Students involved in basketball, cheer, and band. Come to the main gym at 6pm to support Anna, Courtney, Rachael, Katie, Trevor, Cole, Zachary, and Hayes. Go Knights!
South Holt Hillyard vo-tech students will not attend classes on Friday, Feb 21 as the SJSD has cancelled classes. Hillyard students should report to South Holt by 10:40am for classes at South Holt.
Come out and support the South Holt Community Teachers Association before Friday's Senior Night recognition and Varsity Girls Basketball Game. Proceeds from this event support CTA scholarships.
South Holt basketball update: Unfortunately NE Nodaway had to forfeit the games scheduled for Fri, Feb 21st for not having enough players as a prominent Ravenwood community member has passed away and the visitation is Friday evening. Our thoughts go out to the Ravenwood community. South Holt admin took many steps today to fill the opening and was only able to find a girls' opponent. So...South Holt varsity girls only basketball game vs Mound City on Friday, February 21 at 6:30pm.

South Holt will not be sending FFA students to the Farm Show on Friday! The school sponsored trip is cancelled. Mrs Law will have tickets for the kids that qualified for the trip that still want to go this weekend. See Mrs Law on Friday in the morning, but you will need to get your own way there and you will be taking an absence if you miss school on Friday. Tickets will be good all weekend! Ideas for a future FFA incentive trip are being talked about among school staff.
February 21 is Frozen Friday. Send $1 with your elementary student and he/she will receive a frozen treat after lunch. Thank you for supporting our 6th Grade Student Council!
Due to extremely cold temperatures and windchills close to -30 degrees, South Holt will not have school Thursday, February 20. We ARE planning to be in session on Friday. Please stay safe and warm. Winter will soon be over, and we will enjoy the spring shortly.
South Holt After Prom is still meeting tonight at 6pm in the school lunch room. There is a lot to discuss before Prom on April 12th. All interested parents are invited to attend.
The South Holt FFA will host a Community Appreciation Breakfast on Saturday, February 22nd at the Oregon TJ Hall Building from 7am-11am.
The 3rd graders had a great time visiting the residents at the Oregon Care Center on Valentine's Day. They played Bingo and made them some Valentine decorations for their doors.
