Dear Parents and Guardians,
It has come to our attention that the need for before and after care is a critical need and we are working to develop a plan to assist with the need of the community. In the meantime, we will offer early drop off for students PK-6th grade at 7:30 at the library doors. If you want to use this, please respond to peavlerj@southholtr1.com, so we can be prepared for your child/ren. We will need you to come inside to the library to sign your children in. Please be patient with us as we try to work out plans. If all things can be worked out, we hope to have information available for a non-profit tuition based program by the end of next week. South Holt varsity basketball teams have been a part of the Fairfax Tournament this week. The girls played late last night and lost a tough game to Falls City. The girls are done playing in the tournament. The boys play at 8:15pm tonight against Mound City. The bus for the players and cheerleaders will leave at 6:45pm.

The South Holt Elementary PTO is meeting on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. in the school library. Any parents or patrons that would like to be a part of the PTO are welcome to attend this meeting. The 2025-2026 Dual Credit/Dual Enrollment Scholarship application is available for the spring semester. Eligible South Holt students taking college classes can submit the scholarship application and supporting documentation online through the State Financial Aid Portal. Spring semester (January-May): February 1 is the priority deadline for the spring semester each year.
