There will be a 5th quarter event 30 minutes after the home football game tonight at the First Christian Church for food, drinks, and games. This is for 9th-12th grade students only. This event is sponsored by the Ministerial Alliance, South Holt R-1, interested parents, and the First Christian Church.
The Big Smiles in-school dentist is coming to our school again this year September 26th and 27th for dental exams/care. Permission slips will be sent home this week with elementary students. Permission slips will be in the high school office for JH/HS, or you can sign your child up online at www.myschooldentist.com. Permission slips are due by 9/12/23. Elementary Parents: If your child's dismissal routine changes during the day, please contact the Elementary Office so that we can ensure that the message is relayed to the student and teacher. Even if you email the teacher, please contact the office. Teachers are busy working with students during the school day and may not check their email before dismissal. On Tuesday, August 29th the South Holt cross country team ran at North Platte. Olivia Prussman finished in 13th place out of 28. Tait Morris finished in 23rd place out of 57. Go Knights!

Sorry so early....EA volleyball tournament cancelled for 8/26. City of Tarkio has had a water main break twice in last 12 hours. Repair attempts unsuccessful. No water at school or TAC. Volleyball tournament has to be cancelled.
With 4:33 until half South Holt led 22-8 over Princeton. It now is halftime and South Holt leads 45-28. There were 43 points scored in last 4 minutes of the first half! Wow!

Friday's South Holt varsity football game start time has been moved to 8:00pm at Princeton. A 1-hour delay for better playing conditions due to hot weather. The football bus will now leave at 4:00pm and the cheerleaders will leave in a school van at 5:30pm.
The South Holt “Meet the Knights” event scheduled for Thursday evening is postponed. Due to excessive heat and changes in sports team’s schedules it is best to not have the event on Thursday.
Yesterday, during afternoon dismissal loading of the school buses, a patron went around the buses while they are loading. You are not to go around a school bus while it is stopped for loading and unloading. This is illegal. The bus drivers take down license plates and will report the offense to our sheriff's department. The road on the east side of the school is one way, north to south, before and after school for loading and unloading students from the buses.
