7th grade STEM students have engineered some AMAZING things this quarter! Here are a few pics of some of our class challenges.

South Holt is looking forward to Parent/Teacher Conferences tomorrow. Conferences will run from 9:00-noon and 4:00-8:00. The COVID-19 alterations that we have made will be that we recommend wearing a mask, the classrooms will have a 6 foot social distancing set up and conference will last no longer than 10 minutes to avoid the close contact rule for quarantining. Please call Mr. Ottman with any questions.
Parents, just a reminder that South Holt will honor their football, cheer, and cross country seniors this Friday, October 23rd at our varsity football game against Northwest Nodaway. Our Senior Night presentation will begin at 6:15. Parents, please meet Mr. Anderson at the entry gate by 6:00 pm that evening. Thank you!

Our South Holt cross country team competed at the West Platte Invitational/KCI Conference race this morning. It was cold and windy with constant wind and gusts over 50 mph. Our kids ran great today! Out of 72 runners in the girls race, Reese Morris finished 15th, Olivia Prussman finished 27th (also a personal best time!) and Makayla Bohart finished 30th. Out of 117 boys Dawson finished 11th. Way to go Knights!!!

The SH 2nd Graders visited the Oregon Post Office to mail our friendly letters to the OCC residents!

First Graders in Mrs Kurtz’s class studied the question “Can you see in the dark?” Students hid messages in their dark boxes for partners to add just enough light to be able to read the message.
