South Holt Elementary students in Preschool, Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade are being provided enrichment school work in packets and papers. Parents can pick up packets at the elementary office on Thursday, April 9th from 4pm-6pm or on Friday, April 10th from 9:30am-12:00pm. Packets will be delivered for all families that don’t get a packet picked up. All packets and papers will be collected by teachers when South Holt returns to school.
This week South Holt Elementary students in 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade have been provided enrichment school work through electronic means. This has been Google Classroom, Google Meet, and social media. Please continue to work on these assignments to continue to advance academically. Please communicate with the classroom teachers if you have any specific needs or questions.
South Holt Students, As we prepare for our distance learning, please take time to check your school email accounts. Several students have yet to respond to messages from their class sponsors. Seniors and Hillyard students, please respond to any message you have received.
SCAM/FRAUD ALERT
There was a fraudulent email sent out at 9:35 that said update email schedule maintenance suposedly from OFM. OFM did not send this notice out. It is wanting you to change your password. If you did, call 446-3391 Theresa Mackey immediately. Do not click on this email.
South Holt Staff Parade today as 1:00pm. See the route below. Fun event! Please be responsible as you come out.
We have extended the school closure until April 20th. We will need volunteers to help prepare and deliver meals during this extended two weeks. If you can help out please let Mr. Ottman know what days and what job and we will do the best to accomodate everyone.
Wednesday should be a special day! Your SH Staff is going on a parade! Below is the route we will be taking through Oregon and Forest City at 1pm. If your house isn’t on the route, just hop in the car and park somewhere along the way. Please remain in your car and follow all new “normal” regulations. (No socializing outside your family, remain 6 feet)! We are sooo excited to see some faces! We hope you and your family can make it!
Important Letter, Please Read
South Holt School will extend the school closure due to the Coronavirus thru April 17th. The first possible day to come back to school will be April 20th. This situation remains fluid so stay tuned. There is a letter from Mr. Ottman on the Website with more information.
Here is the menu for the week of March 30-April 3rd. We are currently delivering 54 meals each day for lunch. If you would like to be added to the route, please email Mr. Ottman ottmanb@southholtr1.com and we would gladly add you to our list.
Parents & students please email me homeschool/family time photos that you'd like to possibly have added to a page in the 19/20 yearbook. We'd like to cover this time as it is part of our school year but I need your help. Thank you, GO KNIGHTS! Mrs. Allen - allena@southholtr1.com
The South Holt gyms and weightroom are closed to all students and patrons during the school building closure until we reevaluate for an April 6th opening. No one should be in the gyms or weightroom at this time.
The daily preparation of the meals for delivery will begin at 10:00 instead of 9:00 from now on for those people who signed up to help. Delivery will still be at 11:00. Thank you for making this adjustment.
Congratulations to Grace Cotton and Drew Quinlin for their selection to the 2019-2020 MISSOURI SPORTSWRITERS AND SPORTSCASTERS ASSOCIATION All-Northwest District Basketball Teams.
Hillyards Technical School will be closed until Monday 4/6/20. All South Holt students enrolled in Hillyards classes should check their google classrooms for instruction during this time.
South Holt Students!! It is very important that you are checking your school email often. Miss Olberding is sending senior scholarship information and not getting any response. Other classroom teachers are not getting responses from their students. Please check you email.
Please see the updated Meal Preparation and Delivery Schedule. We added another delivery person. Every person doing prep or delivery will have their temperature taken prior to helping. If you want to help but aren't on the list, prep begins around 9:00 and delivery around 11:00
