South Holt will recognize our senior volleyball player tonight after the varsity volleyball match against Nodaway Valley which begins at 5:30pm. The JV volleyball match will happen after the senior recognition.
South Holt will host a FAFSA Frenzy event for high school senior students and their families beginning at 5:00pm on Thursday, October 21st in the high school computer lab. A representative will share general financial aid information and be available to assist with FAFSA completion. Parents/Guardians will need to bring 2020 income tax returns, W2’s, and other records of money earned.
Students that completed the 1-20 PTO Fundraiser were rewarded with pizza and extra recess last week. In addition, the week wrapped up with one lucky fundraiser participant from each class having the opportunity to "pie face" his or her teacher. The grand finale was a pie in the face for Mrs. Mendenhall by top money earner, Harper Baker. Thank you to all of the South Holt patrons that made this fundraiser such a big success!
With the support of the South Holt Elementary PTO, South Holt students in grades Kindergarten through 3rd Grade had the opportunity to visit Schweizer's Orchard last week. While at the orchard, students learned about different types of apples and how they grow. Students were able to pick their own pumpkins and apples. In addition, they went on a wagon ride and had time to play in the straw maze and on the playground equipment at the orchard. This was a wonderful experience for South Holt students. The City of Oregon would like to inform customers that Wednesday October 20th from 3:30-5:30pm there will be no water. When the water is back on there will be a boil order.
30 minutes after tonight’s home football game there will be a 5th Quarter at 1st Christian Church (204 South Washington). This event is for High School students. Come eat, play games, or just hang out. Sponsored by South Holt R-1, the Ministerial Alliance, interested parents & 1st Christian Church.
