Important Immunization Changes for 2017-18 School Year

Immunization information regarding vaccines required for the 2018/19 school year were mailed to South Holt R1 parents on March 1. The large postcards are as pictured above.

Students entering 8th grade are required to have a Tdap booster (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis) and a Meningitis (MCV) vaccine. One dose of MCV is required after age 10.

Students entering 12th grade are required to have a Meningitis vaccine. If they have already received a Meningitis vaccine, another one is required if the first dose was given prior to age 16.  These seniors will then have all needed vaccines for college entrance.

Immunization information regarding vaccines for Kindergarten entrance was sent home with students that are enrolled in the South Holt preschool. Others entering kindergarten will receive this information at screening/or roundup.

2017/18 Seniors were mailed a copy of their immunization record to keep.

Missouri state law requires students to be immunized against vaccine -preventable diseases. Proof of immunizations is required on or before August 15, 2018 for school entrance; (first day of school).
